Unveiling a Unique Steam Game Trial: Controlling a Turdy Character with the Goal to Arrive at the Toilet

Steam Next Fest is now live, and players have discovered a variety of interesting indie games. Yet, one is particularly notable for its unconventional concept. Named Unko Technica, this old-school styled jumping adventure features a character that is truly a piece of poop trying to navigate to a commode. As a fun fact, "Unko" translates to "poop."

Player controls is easy to grasp: just use a single jump button. In one hundred fifty challenges, encounter tough enemies and visit a shop to buy outfits for your fecal avatar.

Execute your jumps carefully, as a wrong move means restarting the level. Jump using floating orbs to propel your character higher, cross fragile platforms, and interact with buttons to unlock secret routes. Collect currency for buying tougher stages in which the action ramps up.

Graphically, the experience features eye-catching stages and a killer background music. The retro graphics of morphing basic polygons could recall players of classic titles like Earthbound.

While it's hard to name other games where you are a piece of feces, video games frequently incorporated toilet humor. As an illustration, in Death Stranding, players create grenades from protagonist excrement. Examples include Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved utilize feces as plant food. Naturally, such content shows up heavily in Obsidian's adventure The Stick of Truth.

Regardless of its goofy premise, Unko Technica has already garnered significant recognition, like taking top honors at Bandai Namco's game competition in 2023. A playable preview is accessible now on Steam, with the complete version planned to debut on PC in the fall.
